Sticking to the guiding principle of "serving the core business, and geared towards production and industrialization", the Company has further strengthened innovation in institutions and mechanisms, and established a scientific research system comprising one Base, two Organizations, five national R&D centers, several provincial and Group level experiment centers, and has cultivated a R&D team consisting of more than 600 people, which further consolidating the Companys leading position in Chinas energy technology field.
Centering around the core business of power, the Company gives full play to the supporting role of its science and technology business, and vigorously conducts diagnosis for energy saving, operational optimization, and technical supervision, thus providing overall technical support for plant safety and industrial leadership position. The Company also strives to provide technical services in project optimal design and equipment manufacturing supervision, so as to provide effective technical guarantee for ensuring equipment quality. In 2012, the Company has won 179 more technical service contracts than the previous year.
